I joined Stortech after finishing University in 2004. It was my first full-time job and I became an Internal Sales Administrator on the CCTV desk. The role involved taking and processing orders and assisting customers over the phone. Then, in April 2009, I was offered the role of Area Sales Manager covering the South of England. I had never imagined myself as a Sales Manager and initially I was quite nervous. However, the Company gave me lots of support and it turned out to be an easy step from talking to customers on the phone to meeting them in person. I already had a good knowledge of our products and processes, which helped considerably.
I am now grateful to have been given the opportunity as I thoroughly enjoy being out visiting customers about 4 days a week.
Stortech is a small company where everyone knows everyone else and we are all willing to help and look out for each other. This means that there is always plenty of back-up and support available if you need it – in fact, I think of us as being like a family.
